The monobloc frame structure, with built-in laser source, integrated electronic, electrical, pneumatically and mechanical components results in a stable and compact machine.

The HACO Raptor CNC Laser Cutting Machines is of the 'flying optics' concept, having many advantages.

The machines' inertia remains the same for all materials thickness and to be cut, leading to an optimum cutting quality over the entire cutting table due to a perfectly controllable cutting speed and accuracy.

Furthermore, the materials to be processed must not be clamped or fixed, which eases the materials handling.

As the material sheet is not moving, a scratch-free machining is guaranteed, as well as the possibility to cut through less stable or thinner materials.

Also 'tinger' part nesting is allowed, leading to less material waste.

With the window-based Siemens 840D CNC Control, the operator has interactive control of all programmed process values such as speed, gas pressure, laser power at all times.

A built-in conveyor belt collects all scrap and small pieces into the scrap bin in front of the machine.

The laser source is a 'Fast Axial Flow' CO2 Laser with DC-discharge.

The laser-active medium (or cavity") in a CO2-Laser is a gas mixture of CO2, He and N2. In the near-vacuum cavity, this gas mixture converts electrical energy (high voltage discharge) into Laser light. The oscillation of this laser light between two or more mirrors, the so-called 'optical resonator', amplifies the laser light and turns it into a high-power beam.

A CO2 Laser emits infrared radiation with a wavelength of 10.6 µm.

The fast flow the laser gasses is generated by an oil-free turbo-pump with integrated heat exchangers. The use of the especially developed laser-grade LASAL 97 premix gas, reduces the gas supply to a single bottle.

The high voltage supply has been especially developed and has a modular design.

Each module has identical characteristics, cutting down maintenance duration and costs as no special fine-tuning is required. The high voltage power supply uses modern IGBT-techniques and an active feed-back control of the output power of each separate module, leading to a extremely stable and constant total output power.

Together with the PID-controlled system pressure, this leads to a laser power stability and repeatability of ±1.5% over the full range.

The resonator itself is a kinematically suspended invar-frame, nearly eliminating 'warming up' of the laser source before actual cutting can start.

The telephone and polarization optics of the HLT-3000 are mounted on the resonator frame itself, having many advantages. It results in a constant high axial accuracy with respect to the out-coupling mirror, leading to a ready-to-use output beam with constant cutting for an optical of 15 meter and brings the beam adjusting procedure after the machine mirror maintenance to a minimum effort.

The laser source control unit has many pre-defined pulse programmes, but also allows free pulse programming.

It has a full-diagnosis software and informs the operator of its status and actual laser program on the screen of the CNC control.

The intelligent SINUMERIK 840D is a highly sophisticated 'open' CNC Control System.

Together with the SIMODRIVE 611 digital converter system and the SIMATIC S7 programmable controller, the windows-based Sinumerik 840D provides a complete digital system is suitable for complex machining tasks and which excels with its fine dynamic and precision.

To an outstanding machine belongs a likewise outstanding programming software, which supports all technological possibilities of the machine. The proved programming system FINEST CUT is well-tuned to the HACO CNC Laser Cutting Machines. The homogeneous user interfaces and the use of modern tools lead to a user-friendly and efficient programming.

The unique catalogue for leads in/out included in FINEST CUT contains a large number of different figures. The automatic association of leads in/out is done in relation to the contour area.

The management for part-, material-, technology- and machine data leads to a comprehensive automization for the sequencing of contours, for the generating of leads in/out and for the association of different cutting conditions in relation to the contour area.

The possibility of manual manipulation leads to individual, customer specified results.

Plausibility checks ensure a correct generation of CNC -data and help to prevent materials loss (scrap percentage).

Easy manual nesting enables an effecytive optimization of sheet utilization. The FINEST CUT extension packages PROFESSIONAL and PROFESSIONAL PLUS offer further functional enlargements. Automatic Container Nesting and Fully Automatic Contour Nesting FINEST AUTONEST cut down expensive programming time and improve material utilization.

The integrated interface DXF-in produces compatibility to most of the usual CAD systems.

Additional interfaces are available (DXF-out, IGES, DSTV, ESSI, ...).
